STEP 1: ENABLING LOGS

IM Logging is turned OFF by default. To turn on the feature or turn on Chat Room logging, go to Settings, click on the "IM Logging" tab, select and/or deselect the appropriate features.

NOTES: DELETING & VIEWING LOGS

You can keep the logging feature enabled and clear the IM History for a single buddy, too. In the IM Window, click on the "Edit" drop down menu and select "Clear IM History."

If you select "Delete log files..." button, AIM will delete all logs on your computer presented in the directory displayed at the "store logs" prompt above the button. Presto, all gone!

Another Feature: You can quickly view the logs for a buddy, too. Highlight a screen name on your buddy list window and then either click the "Action" button or right-click on the screen name and select "Show IM Logs".
