A good password should be easy to remember but hard to guess. Avoid dictionary words and repeated letters or numbers. Avoid passwords acquaintances might be able to guess, such as the name of a child or a spouse. Mixing together numbers and uppercase and lowercase letters is a good idea. If possible, though, don't make your password so complex you can't remember it. If you do need to write it down, make sure you do so somewhere that is itself hard to find.
